Jurgen Klopp, determined as always, promises that Liverpool will improve after their 3-0 preseason loss to Napoli.
LFC’s next friendly comes against Lyon in Geneva Switzerland but Klopp’s men will already have one eye on the game next week: the Community Shield against title rivals Manchester City next Sunday. Kick-off is at 3pm.
Jurgen spoke to the press after the game: “It was of course not good. We lost a couple of games in pre-season already. I’m pretty sure we will play better football and it’s necessary as well.”
Courtesy of LFC Indonesia’s Twitter account (and LFCTV), the video below shows a post match interview with left back Andrew Roberton who admits there is a lot of work to do as he confesses his worries that Liverpool were too far off Napoli at times and that players didn’t press in the numbers expected of them.
Robertson said about the huddle after the second goal went in: “I think some of it needs to be said after 9 o’clock tonight!”
Klopp at least has some time to work with his squad and another friendly to play against Lyon before playing Man City on Sunday and the season kicks off.
